Who We Are
About Odyssey
Odyssey provides high-quality learning experiences rooted in the fundamentals of S.T.R.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) Enrichment. We are committed to paving new avenues of success for each student, providing innovation at every step of their academic growth. In collaboration with the Norwalk Maritime Aquarium, Odyssey accepts students as young as 14 months, and as old as 5 years. Our wide-ranging curriculum explores the subjects needed to embrace the next generation of S.T.R.E.A.M learners and thinkers.
Our Vision
There are currently over one million children attending preschool all over the country. Ahead of the curve in preschool education and enrichment, Odyssey partners with the Maritime Aquarium and Grace Baptist Church of Norwalk to provide a comprehensive network of social and educational services to children and families. Our collaboration has proven successful, gaining both state and national attention. With our impact extending past preschool education, the Odyssey Family Executive Center of South Norwalk continues to provide services to families in South Norwalk: including employment, mentoring, and prenatal support, among others.
Program Philosophy
As the world changes around us, so should how we teach the next generation of thinkers. Program outcomes at Odyssey indicate that more that 90% of the preschool students have shown improvement in at least 3 or more areas of the Preschool Early Literacy Indicator (PELI), a storybook-embedded assessment of essential pre-literacy and oral language skills needed for kindergarten.
The PELI is designed for preschool students ages 3-5 and measures alphabet knowledge, vocabulary and oral language, phonemic awareness, and listening comprehension. Paired with our staff reflecting the diversity of our students and philosophy, Odyssey prioritizes an enriching learning environment above all else.

The Odyssey Staff
A high-quality staff is a key component of a successful program. At Odyssey Learning Incwe believe that what teachers present to learners, as well as how it is presented, shapes the learning of children and students.
Our staff love children and are dedicated to increasing their knowledge base to best develop the minds of learners. Curricular decisions will demonstrate an acceptance of and appreciation for children of diverse backgrounds. Our staff also reflects such diversity—which makes for a more enriching environment for all.
Furthermore, our staff is comprised of individuals with years of experience working with children and youth. Staff hold bachelors degrees, masters degrees and state teaching certification. We also partner with a variety of consultants, some of which hold doctorate degrees.
